Over the last few years SAP provided a clear and strong push away from the SAP CRM on-premise processes to the CRM Cloud products of Hybris.

Since then, CRM on-premise appeared to be a dying horse, but there were and are, no signals to retire CRM on-premise.
In the first quarter of 2017, SAP provided a full service process integration between CRM on-premise and Hybris Commerce but not to the Hybris Service Cloud. Since the latest release, S/4HANA now provides a set of CRM sales and service functionality.

To cut a long story short:
